After waiting 30 min they said doctor is not available

I would definitely recommend Dr. Jansen. He was caring and thoughtful. He explained things to me and made sure that I had any questions answered. My follow up was a positive experience also. As a new patient, I felt he was very invested in me as a person. His office staff were very courteous and helpful.

Very caring and skilled. Dr. Jansen is not only a super physician, but a wonderful person.

I found Dr. Jansen to be cheeky, presumptuous, and dismissive concerning the risk of post operative adhesions and the complications they can cause within days of having abdominal or pelvic surgery & for the remainder of one's life. He feels no obligation to disclose risks of adhesion formation preoperatively (although he claims the majority of his surgeries involve adhesiolysis), and he is condescending when asked about them. This calls into question his respect for patient autonomy. I do hope his surgical skill rivals his lack of bedside manner and prowess at uttering unprofessional words of admonishment. I received no educational materials, and was advised to "stay off the Internet." Do your own research preoperatively and request written information and statistics. Ask questions and do not trust implicitly.

Dr. Jansen was summoned to tend my SBO less than a week after I had undergone Da Vinci pelvic organ prolapse surgery at Community North. At 4wks post-op-op, I had doubts,regrets,fears,& many questions about adhesions -- the cause of my complications. During my consult, he was presumptuous, cheeky, and dismissive in relation to professional data/studies I inquired about and my own fears/concerns. He offered no educational information on adhesions, told me to put adhesions out of my mind--to quit thinking about them, & proceeded to advise me to "stay off the internet". Jon also informed me that I was ONLY in 1% of the population who experience SBO after abdomino-pelvic surgery. That means I'm one of 27,000 unfortunate Americans who suffered this unpleasant and life-threatening complication. A month later, he returned a call which I had made to ask some questions about the surgery he performed & to clarify some statements in his operative notes. One question met with sarcasm. Also,… his notes indicated an oversight/mistake on the part of my Obgyn, however, he refused to answer my question saying that she would have to answer. Then he very rudely and unprofessionally advised me to stop researching and questioning unless I had legal intentions. It seems to me a patient has every right to be adequately informed before and after their surgery, and free to ask questions.... Although I am grateful that Dr. Jansen relieved my obstruction and actually found and fixed a problem apparently left undone by my Obgyn, his dismissive attitude toward the very thing that threatened my life and which I had not been educated/informed about, his rudeness, unprofessional admoni- tions, and intentional omission of the truth prohibit me from recommending that anyone seek his services for medical care.

This man was the only person that would take on my husbands case and do the surgery that ended up saving his life. I owe him so many thanks!!
