Dr. Jon A Karl, MD

Dr. Karl "abruptly" dropped me 10 days after running out of my pain medication. Here I am - with a pain rating of "14" - has been here for over a week. I have a fractured back, can't drive, have no transportation, other than cab. Was supposed to be able to pick up Rx on a particular day. Took cab to his office (after confirming Rx was there), got there, Rx not there, spent $50 for a cab and no pain meds. Rec'd call next day (a Friday) that Doctor was "dropping me" as of that day. Doctor forgot "he was to do no harm" - not leaving patient in pain.....

Dr. Karl is an excellent, caring, and empathetic doctor. I have been seing him for a couple years without any complaints. He is willing to answer any questions you may have. He is top notch!

I am 37 now and my orthopedic experiences began at about age 10. Now for 16 year i have been going to o.n.e. and seen 8 different doctors there. Dr karl is easy to talk to even with my wife and her worries. With all my physical issues dr karl has been the best in every way. He is also young so i am hoping to keep him as my ortho doc for a the rest of my life. a-z i couldnt ask for more

Dr Karl has been a ray of hope after a long and dark bout with chronic pain. I have found him very empathetic, patient, and caring. I would highly recomend Dr. Karl! Also his staff is very professional and treat you in a respectful manner. Thank you Dr. Karl!

Have been seeing Dr. Karl for almost a year. He finally got my diagnosis under control, and I was mostly happy with him. However I went to my doctor office today to pick up my regularly scheduled perscription that needs a photo ID for. I drove all the way up to his office, which is about 25 minutes away, to find a note taped to the office door saying thru were closed. I did not recieve a phone call at all from any office telling me not to come, and that they were closed. I then called the main office to see if I could just come pick up my perscription at the Fort Wayne office, but was informed that the doctor had it at his residence since he didnt come into work there was no way to get it. And was also informed that there is a possibility that I may not get it tomorrow either if he didnt leave the perscription at the Warsaw office, therefore I may not get my medication for 2 days. For anyone who is constant chronic pain knows going two days without any medication is horrible! Plus the… medication that I am on, if I go without for a period of time I could go into withdraws. Needless to say I am not happy and feel that something else could be done and they should not treat their patients like this! VERY upset!

I went to Dr. Karl for four yrs after my two level spinal fusion. Was never given another MRI after my surgery to see why I was still having pain. Just started seeing a different pain specialist and he says I was being under treated. Had a new MRI done right away and found out I have lots of problems going on that need to be addressed with more than meds and possibly more surgery. He is very short and not very personable with his patients. I would not recommend him to anyone.
