Dr. Jon Peter Lensmeyer, MD

Arrogant, deceptive, and exploitative — Dr. Jon Lensmeyer and the NorthPoint practice have shown they care more about money than patients. What happened to my wife is a disgraceful example of a doctor and office putting profit above trust. When she scheduled her IUD, she was told she had to schedule an ultrasound. It was presented as required, not optional. The staff even booked it immediately after her procedure. At no point was she told this was just office policy, that it wasn’t medically necessary, or that insurance might deny it. Then came the bill — $188, coded as “not medically necessary” and denied by insurance. To make matters worse, during the procedure, Dr. Lensmeyer admitted it wasn’t necessary, said he knew what he was doing, but dismissed it as “office policy.” He said it with arrogance, as though his patient’s trust, financial wellbeing, and dignity didn’t matter. This is not a small oversight. This is a money grab. It is disrespectful, slimy, and absolutely… destructive to the patient–doctor relationship. Taking advantage of my wife’s respect, kindness, and her natural discomfort with conflict is predatory behavior. No woman should ever be put in that position by her OB-GYN. NorthPoint and Dr. Lensmeyer are a disgusting example of how medicine should not be practiced. Patients deserve honesty, informed consent, and respect — not hidden policies, surprise bills, and arrogant dismissals. This practice should not exist in its current form, and more action will be taken. For your own health, trust, and peace of mind — avoid this doctor and this office.

He delivered my two children without complication, eased any fears I had along the way, and made sure I was up-to-date on anything I needed to know during my pregnancies. I've also seen him for routine exams, and he's always polite, professional, and very informative. I highly recommend him!
