Dr. J David Moore, MD

At first he seemed kind and understanding but a disagreement over medication on an email completely showed me his actual personality. He cannot be trusted. I feel like he was gaslighting me with his idea about how angry I seemed when I simply mentioned how important trust is in a psychiatrist/patient relationship and went ahead and suggested I get a new psychiatrist because of my "mistrust". He handled that interaction so badly and in such a demeaning way that I feel like this man should not be in this field.

Dr. Moore listens, he cares, makes suggestions, accurate with diagnoses. Easy to talk to. Works with you until you find the right meds and dosage. I would definitely recommend him. He has helped me tremendously, I enjoy my life now!

Dr. Moore is a great psycho-pharmacologist. But his bedside manner is very poor. He does not communicate well with the patient and becomes visibly frustrated when a patient asks him questions or suggests a more collaborative approach. He is extremely rigid in his approach to psychiatry and made me feel like I was his psychotropic experiment, irrespective of how I was actually feeling. To him, it was preferable that a patient suffer on a drug regime that was not working for the exact amount of time that he needed his experiment to run, than to respond to the distress the patient. Email correspondence was often condescending and extremely dismissive. Would not recommend.

he was rude, condescending, over prescribed medications that did not work. i guess thats what you get for free services at student health. he is no longer working there and has moved .

I would not recommend Dr. Moore to anyone.

Absolute jerk. Arrogant, violates confidentiality. Yells at patients.

Unforunately Dr Moore prescribes way too much medication. He ought to spend more time diagnosing the problem first and then, and only then, start prescribing a medicine for the problem.
