Dr. Jon William Taveau, DO

When I first went to Dr Taveau I couldn't stand more than five minutes at a time due to sciatica. I was unable to care for myself independently which adding that to the pain I was in was mentally and physically exhausting. I found Dr Taveau to project confidence which made me comfortable going ahead with surgery. The only changes I would recommend are better communication with the patient especially if they have signed up for the patient portal. I would also make sure the generic discharge papers don't include instructions that don't apply to the patient. Yes, I would definitely recommend him and I have already told several people with back problems about him.

I had another 2 doctors look @ my mother's medical records after she passed They told me things that Dr Taveau did not tell me. Infact alot of the opposite. After my mom passed.. not 1 phone call from him(he had my #) he did not even show for her funeral. I expected that because it was the least he could have done after what he & Dr Strictland(gastro surgery) done 2 my family Such a loss, such a void. My family will never be the same because of those 2 men The only thing I can say is Look for better doctors. Because they are out there

He is an amazing and attentive detail oriented surgeon. I couldn't have had a better surgeon, he took care of me and was very compassionate to my needs as a patient.
