Dr. Jon Harwin Voss, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Voss for 10 years. He has done several procedures on me including a D&C when I had a miscarriage, he delivered my son who is now 7, and he did the Essure procedure on me when I decided that I was done having children which was five years ago. I have since divorced and remarried and my new husband doesn't have any children and Dr. Voss recommended that I try in vitro which I am just getting into. Hopefully, I have a good outcome and Dr. Voss will be delivering my new baby! His nurse Karen has taken calls from me on several occasions and was always helpful. I am so thankful to have such a good doctor!

The most kind, and generous doctor ever. He is very gentle, and easy to talk to. Highly recommended- although the wait can be a little long, it's worth the wait

I've been seeing Dr. Voss for eight years and love him and his staff. They are kind, caring, and thoughtful. I always get in promptly, though with his office being at the hospital, he does sometimes have to leave for emergencies w/his patients in the hospital. However, having been one of those patients before, I am glad he is so readily available and never mind a wait. He always answers my questions and spends time with me to make sure I'm comfortable. He and his staff were wonderful with me throughout my pregnancy and delivery with my daughter and the stillbirth of my son. One of the administrative staff even came with me to the ultrasound to confirm my son's death since my husband wasn't there. They are wonderful and I can't say enough nice things about them!

Sadly, I was very disappointed in the care I received from Dr. Voss. He did an exam on my first visit, but has never examined me again since (and I am well into my 5th month of pregnancy). No urine has been collected, no measurements have been taken...he has yet to do anything other than sit at the other end of the exam room and confirm that my weight & blood pressure look good. He lacks compassion and bedside manner. My husband & I have left there feeling disappointed as well as insulted by some of the comments that this physician has made when addressing our concerns. This is not my first pregnancy & I am well aware of what a good quality OBGYN should be doing at each visit. However, I continued to receive his care because I also understand they each physician is different. I now realize that his ethics & method of practicing medicine are not compatible with what I value & expect from professionals in the medical field. Therefore, I will not be returning to Dr. Voss for my OBGYN… needs and I cannot recommend him when I know there are more thorough, compassionate & professional OBGYN's in the Lexington area.

Dr. Voss has been my doctor for over 20 years. He is very understanding and caring. I never feel rushed and he is always ready to answer my questions and encourges them.

Dr. Voss delivered my daughter in 2007. He was not the on call doctor for the night. Since he was in a meeting at the hospital he stopped in to check on me after it. My daughter was was taken by c-section a 11:18 pm. I was so greatfull that he came in to see me, even though he did not have to.

My mother has seen Dr. Voss for MANY years, but yesterday during a routine pre op appt, he informed her he had uterine cancer without having myself or my father with her. The oncologist they had scheduled her to see called to confirm an appt for that same day, and my Mom had no idea, called Voss' office to check, and was told that she did not have an appt there, and it must have been a mistake. Turns out, it was NOT a mistake, and my Mom sat in a room alone while he told her she had Stage 3 endometrial cancer. It was a terrible way to treat a long time patient.

His bedside manner needs improvement, he showed no compassion for my wife in her time of need.

Dr Voss is a great doctor that has a wonderful bedside manner. He takes his time with with you and makes sure you understand the information he has given you.
