With a father who was a dentist, and several uncles who were doctors, you could say that the medical field chose him.As a podiatrist, Dr. Abiera loves getting people back on their feet- pun intended."The most rewarding part for me is relieving a patient's pain," he said. "My part is the easy part. I do the surgery and see them for office visits, but the hard part is recovery at home, and it takes teamwork to get there."No one person can carry a team, and that's why Dr. Abiera takes time to get to know his patients and discover their strengths and weaknesses. Both parties are united by a common goal, and that's recovery and healing.When he's not in surgery, Dr. Abiera can be found using his hands in other ventures, like giving home haircuts, barbecuing, and home DIY projects. He also enjoys serving at church, and spending time with his family.
