Dr. Jonathan Essary Becker, DO

Please stay away from this hospital and Dr Becker who runs the clinic. Not only were they unable to diagnose a simple anxiety problem after a divorce but they threw lots of hardcore drugs at me which created severe insomnia and worsening mood. After contacting a sleep specialist & a psychiatrist with training from Northwestern rather than, um, New Orleans, I was told that I had been grossly over medicated, given dangerous medicines that are no longer used in modern psychiatry. I lost two years to this awful clinic. Please please stay away and tell anyone you know that they are harming people at this clinic.

During my stay at Vanderbilt, he was cold, condescending, and barely spent any time talking to me. The medication he prescribed me did not help. There are other doctors at Vanderbilt that were so much kinder and showed warmth to the patients.

Dr. Becker specializes in mood disorders. I feel his expertise in diagnosis and medication selection gave me back my life. He is kind and thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable.

Dr. Becker is an excellent psychiatrist. He is understanding and kind. He really cares about the patient's well-being and allows opportunity for a dialogue. He answered all my questions and explained in detail his medication management plan. I will definitively recommend him to family and friends.

Though he is a resident in psychiatry, he was very easy to talk to. I prefer Dr's with a few more years experience, but he did everything correct, he seemed kind and empathetic, much more so than the attendings I have seen. I would recomend him to anyone :)
