My wife had spine surgery on November 22nd 2023 she walked into the hospital the day of surgery she is currently paralyzed on this is febuary 19th 2024 Dr Borden has never came to see her not once she's only had one visit by the another surgeon and that is it nobody she is in the blank left in the blank and paralyzed that's what kind of surgeon he is

Great experience

Dr Borden had done surgery on my husband not once but two times he did not pay attention that there was infection in his body and the whole thing was a disaster Dr Borden is not a good doctor I would not recommend him to anyone. When he moved from Bethesda to Kettering he raised all of the records on my husband and did not send anything now we are stuck with a bill that my husband is working on to get it where he's not going to pay for it. The bill needed to be pre-authorized but we didn't know that we are not doctors anyone that goes to boarding to have surgery done I feel for you he botches everything up and he does not know what he's doing. Please beware of this man he is not a good doctor and if you're recommended to him please search for other doctors to do your back and spine

GOOD DOC ALERT!!!

I was a patient of Dr Borden in 2008, I was in extreme pain and had seen a couple of doctors before. I didn’t like the way I was being treated at Mayfield, so I tried Dr Borden. He performed a spinal fusion and I’m able to walk til this day. They thought I would be paralyzed. Anyone who complain about him not holding your hand is an idiot, he knows what he is doing and is excellent at it.

Terrible-It took 2 months to get an appointment, I waited 1hr 30min to be seen and he spent a total of 2 minutes in the room with me as a new patient. Not to mention it took about 30minutes of filling out his paperwork he didn’t even look over. He already had a referral to someone else printed out before he even saw me so in my opinion he didn’t care what i had to say, he had his mind set on what he was going to do before he saw me. He gave me no advice, explained nothing, very non personable and I would not trust him with my life if it depend on it. I would not recommend him. I have been dealing with pain for many years and it has taken me a lot to finally see someone and I am very disappointed.

I was extremely disappointed in my treatment by Dr. Borden. After referring me for physical therapy, he refused to talk to, or answer the questions of, my physical therapist. Instead, his office asked me to come in for a follow-up appointment where Dr. Borden, instead of discussing the questions of my physical therapist, said,"You're fine!" and referred me to a pain clinic, even after I told him that I did NOT have pain concerns and did not need the referral. I left the office feeling not listened to by a very rude provider. I do not know what is going on with this doctor. Perhaps he felt defensive being "questioned" by my (very kind & caring) physical therapist or perhaps he was having a bad day and was just looking for someone to take out his anger on.

I had a six month appointment after my surgery with Dr. Borden. I called to make sure I had the proper day and time. I was told when to come in to his office. When I arrived they told me I wasn't in the system AFTER they told me my name and address. Sounds like I was in the system but without an appointment even though they gave me the appointment many months ago and like I said I even called to verify. They didn't offer another appointment so I got fed up with the doc and anything to do with his office. In search of a staff who knows what they're doing and a new doctor.

Dr. Borden is very intelligent, has a great bed side manner, caring. I would trust him with any surgery. He explains procedures well, makes you feel comfortable prior. His staff are WONDERFUL!
