Dr. Jonathan Byrd, MD

Does not see sick patients so be prepared to go to ER if you have medical issue.

If you have need for a doctor who puts forth genuine effort, I suggest you skip this one. If you have a simple medical problem (the kind that you can figure out on your own), then this guy is probably adequate. He comes across like a nice guy, but he is not much of a doctor. He’s good at chit chat and happy talk, but extremely lacking in diagnostic abilities, medical knowledge, problem solving (even problem understanding), and stick-to-itiveness. I do not recommend him. Vastly overrated, and vastly overpaid in my estimation. Just one man’s opinion, but I’ll tell you that I don’t take posting negative opinions lightly. I thought long and hard about whether to post it. I decided the benefit to other people far outweighed any of the negatives.

I have been seeing Dr. Byrd for approximately 2 years. I am very impressed with all aspects of his care. He is thorough, pleasant and addresses all issues no matter how small. I feel very confident that I have the best there is when it comes to Primary Care.

Dr. Jonathan Byrd is an awesome doctor. He's a very caring and understanding doctor. He gives his undivided attention and time to hear your complaint or concern (he's very attentive). He doesn't rush you in any kind of manner. I am simply thrilled to have him as my physician. There's no better feeling to know when you leave your visit with your doctor, that he's given you the best advice, care and treatment. I recommend him to everyone that is inquiring information or looking for a good doctor. I too wish he was at a different facility, but in time I'm sure he will have his on location. Until then, I plan to hang in there with my doctor.

Dr. Byrd is a highly intelligent, very competent doctor who is easy to communicate with. My problem lies with how his office is run. I only get to see the doctor once a year for the annual check-up. If anything else comes up in the mean time, you are directed to the nurse practitioner (takes several days to get appt.), or Urgent Care. Hard to build a rapport under such conditions. Perhaps my expectations are too high (?)

He is knowledgeable, thorough, approachable, positive, holistic. I am 82 and have made major progress under his care including my hypertension, bone density, AIC, mobility, mood, IBS, and other age-related diagnoses.

Nice as can be, and really quick to follow up when questions arise between appointments. Very easy to talk to, helpful, great doctor.

Very personable; thorough; really listens to patients and explains things well; very responsive to follow-up questions; overall a wonderful doctor!

Dr. Byrd is great. He's very friendly and very thorough. I have no complaints.
