I have had my sclerotherapy treatments rescheduled several times at the last minute. I have had to change my work schedule several times due to this. Very frustrating, but I do love my therapist.

My Cadiologist suggested that I go into the venous closure with an open mind and the thought that there is a 50-50 chance of success. After the procedure which was not painful for me but a horrible one for a friend months later, my legs were healing. Main problem was the swelling and the skin discoloration from years of venuous problems unbeknownst to me. It has been nearly 6 months. Although my legs don't hurt anymore, they still swell. Not returning to Dr. Calure as many things told me were not true. In fact, beware of promises especially about referrals. You are supposedly getting a 'gift card' if you have a successful referral to MD Vein Specialists. Well, either the mail stinks or The Office Personnel do because no such 'thank you' arrived in 6 months even after the Personnel assured my friend, who also had procedures done, that a gift card would be sent to the person who referred her. Also, I find it interesting that a Physician's Asst. will see you instead of Dr. Callure and… that one must insist on meeting Dr. Callure prior to the procedure as if just hearing about things from the Physician's Asst. is enough. After all, who is doing the procedure? The Dr. or his Nursing Asst?????? If you are looking for a 100% guarantee and a complete turn around, don't bother seeing the group or getting any procedures done. It's as I was told by another, 50-50.

After my initial visit with Dr. Calure, I was advised that I would need 3 procedures involving Venus Closure. Today I had my first procedure. Of course I was apprehensive this morning because I had no idea how the procedure would be done. There are videos on line to view about the procedures but a video isn't surgery on one's self. This was a piece of cake.It was easier than a root canal, practically no pain during the surgery, less than anything felt from acupuncture, etc. From the friendliness and warmth of the staff and nurses preparing me for the procedure, to the caring, warmth, and humor of Dr. Calure, I knew I was in good hands. Where else are you able to choose a DVD to watch or listen to wonderful music during surgery? Dr. Calure explained what he was doing step by step, explained what to expect afterwards, and assured me that no complaint big or small would be ignored. He reiterated, "CALL ME" if it is needed. Dr. Calure was an absolute honey and this is not something I… readily say about many physicians. Anyone with a vein problem, varicose veins, swelling of legs, etc. would be totally ignorant not to go see Dr. Calure and have the problems taken care of. I have 2 more procedures this week. You can bet that I'll rest easy the night(s) before each procedure and there will be no fear of anything the day(s) of the surgery. Dr. Calure is truly "The MAN" when it comes to Venus Closure Surgery. I cannot thank him enough. I look forward to little or no swelling of my legs in the months to come as well as being able to resume exercise to improve my overall health!
