Dr Dickens is the absolute best Orthopaedic Surgeon in the United States Army bar none. He did an extensive, 4 hour shoulder repair. Everything was perfect to pre operation explanation to precision surgery to post operative care. None better!!!!!

Dr. Dickens is an excellent Orthopedic Surgeon. He repaired my left rotator cuff after being injured for over a year. His approach to my treatment plan as an athlete was superb and I highly recommend him. He addressed all of my concerns and his follow up plan was thoughtful and accurate for my needs.

Honestly, I was blessed to have Dr Dickens as my surgeon. He is, without a doubt or ounce of exaggeration, one of the best orthopedic surgeons I have ever had. While on deployment, I sustained a number of serious injuries that lead into a number of surgeries. Needless to say, I met a lot of orthopedic surgeons. But, Dr Dickens was different. He invested a lot of personal time into understanding: who I am as a person; what I went through; as well as, what I wanted and needed. Furthermore, he spent a great deal of time walking me through my options, and explaining the pros/cons for each solution. I felt extremely comfortable with Dr Dickens, because: he was extremely detail oriented; he was passionate about his job and my well being; he supported me making an informed decision that represented my best interests; and, he never once tried to sway my decision one way or the other. What surprised me the most was that Dr Dickens was like this from the first day I stepped into his office,… until my final post-surgery evaluation. I can't describe how comforting this was for me, especially on the day I had surgery. That day was stressful, because my surgery was going to be intense. While I was being prepped for surgery, Dr Dickens sent his head resident to ensure everything was being done to a specific standard. After my prep was completed, Dr Dickens came to my bedside to ensure I was doing well, and did not have any last minute questions or concerns. During surgery, Dr Dickens, on multiple occasions, took the time to speak with my mother and give her a thorough update on my progress. Despite having three back-to-back surgeries to prepare for, Dr Dickens made the extra effort to take care of me and my mother, because he cares. As for the surgery, Dr Dickens exceeded any expectation I had. Moreover, because of Dr Dickens, my quality of life has improved dramatically. As I said before, I was blessed to have him as my surgeon.
