I highly recommend Dr. Jonathan A. Dunn; he is an OB/GYN doctor at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. I recently consulted with him about my ovarian mass. He took time to explain to me this condition and options to handle it in clear detail; he also provided additional background information from an expert resource. Dr. Dunn was very patient with my many questions during that visit and later ones, and he answered all of my questions completely and to my satisfaction. He gave me expert advice and empowered me in deciding the course of action. I am impressed with his after visit notes. Throughout the pre-op visits, subsequent out-patient surgery/recovery, and post-op visits, his humor and bedside manner put me at ease; he is very easy to talk with. Dr. Dunn is an excellent surgeon; my laparoscopic surgery went very well and my recovery was quite easy. When one of my surgical port sites became inflamed, Dr. Dunn personally attended to and it has healed nicely. I very much appreciate the care I… received at Scripps Clinic from Dr. Dunn, PA Rita, his assistant Chris, RNs Elsa and Sally, and the reception and scheduling staff; they are all very friendly and thoughtful. He is the most amazing doctor ever. He takes his time with you to give you all the necessary information and answer all your questions. His staff are very nice too.

Hands down the best OB/GYN! We are very impressed with his expertise and knowledge! He was very patient with all my questions and answered each one of them in detail providing me satisfactory answers and other options. I never felt rushed in my appointments. He takes personal interest in patients and he went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and all issues attended. He has very friendly personality. He is very flexible and that is so important to have a happy pregnancy and a smooth delivery. I had a scheduled induction and it went smoothly. My lacerations healed so well thanks to careful stitching by Dr. Dunn. We had great experience throughout my pregnancy, labor and delivery and follow up. I totally recommend him!

Dr. Dunn was an amazing, caring and attentive doctor to work with. He took such great care of our family as we welcomed our first child into the world. We couldn't have been happier with Dr. Dunn and everyone at his office.

I truly believe that a low stress pregnancy will result in a happy/calm baby and having the right OBGYN is a huge variable in this equation. A colleague at work strongly recommended Dr. Dunn and I am forever grateful to her. Dr. Dunn is not your typical stuffy doctor. Heâ??s fun, easy to talk to and has a great bedside manner. My favorite things about Dr. Dunn is that heâ??s knowledgeable, experienced and explains things well. Women have been having babies for centuries and nowadays, people are so worried about what they should and shouldnâ??t do while pregnant. In my opinion, this causes unnecessary stress that is transferred to your baby. Dr. Dunn focuses on a healthy/practical pregnancy and doesnâ??t stress you out with a bunch of rules while being pregnant. The night I went into labor, I called Dr. Dunnâ??s office at 3am and I had a returned call within 5 minutes from a midwife on staff. During your pregnancy, you go to the OBGYNâ??s office so much, they become… an extended family. Everyone at Dr. Dunnâ??s office including the nurses, Rita (Dr. Dunnâ??s PA), the ultrasound techs and the lovely ladies in scheduling are all extremely friendly and caring. Dr. Dunn and his staff have a way of making you feel like their only patient. I always felt Dr. Dunn truly cared about me and never felt rushed at our appointments. For my final and MOST IMPORTANT reason I LOVE DR DUNNâ?¦.he puts you in â??the driverâ??s seat.â?? If you want an epidural, you can have one as soon as you ask for it (assuming you are actually in labor). I was only 2 cm dilated when I got to Scripps Hospital in La Jolla (which is the best and most amazing hospital experience Iâ??ve ever had) and they gave me the epidural as soon as I asked for it. Many of my other friends couldnâ??t get an epidural until they were 4 cm dilated. At 2cm, I was quite uncomfortable. Just knowing I could have an epidural at any time relieved all my anxiety. Dr. Dunn is the best and when you are having a life changing experience (such as having a baby), only the best will do!

Dr Dunn is truly an exceptional doctor. He is super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, has the perfect bedside manner and explains/relates concepts and results clearly and concisely. Dr. Dunn always takes the time to answer questions and never rushes through explanations. It is very apparent that Dr. Dunn really cares for his patients and truly loves what he does. Dr. Dunn delivered both my children, and I feel blessed to have been in his care during both my pregnancies and deliveries. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about my experiences with Dr. Dunn and would highly recommend him to anyone!
