Dr. Jonathan Ellis graduated magna cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2005. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from VCU, and attended Thomas Dale High School in Chester. In 2006, Dr. Ellis completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Long Beach, California, where he learned advanced techniques in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, oral surgery, dental implants, periodontics (gum care), crowns, bridges, endodontics (root canals), and partial and complete dentures. After moving back home to Virginia, Dr. Ellis joined in practice with his father, Dr. David Ellis. He and his wife Annie are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Abby and Claire.
Dr. Ellis is a member of the American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association. He is the President-Elect  for the Southside Dental Society.Â
Dr. Ellis is active in …ongoing education in the newest dental techniques and technologies. He has completed several levels of the Dawson Academy training in occlusion and smile design.  He has taken multiple advanced courses on dental implant tooth replacement and CEREC CAD/CAM technology.
