Dr. Jonathan D. Funk, MD

With the limited availability of mental health care it is a real shame that Dr. Funk is an option. Do not waste time with this man, he shows nothing but disinterest in providing care or working with you, let alone just paying attention during an appointment.

This guy is the worst by far. He didn't hear a word I said. He had already decided that all my problems stem from marijuana use although I had explained to him that I was grieving the loss of my beloved dog of 15 years. Cold, insensitive and rude, that's how I would describe him.

Dr. Funk is the worst psychiatrist I’ve ever seen. I have bipolar disorder and I made an appointment to see if he could help me with it. He made me extremely uncomfortable from the moment I met him and it just got worse as the appointment went on. He completely denied everything I was previously diagnosed with and acted like all of my issues were no big deal. When I told him I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he told me that it’s impossible because it’s too rare. This is the first appointment!! He shouldn’t be disregarding any possible diagnosis. He then proceeded to tell me that all of my problems are caused by my bad sleep cycle and that once I straighten it out I’ll be cured. Let’s not forget that my issues cause my bad sleep cycle in the first place!! If you’re a young female, I definitely don’t recommenced this dr!! I saw a different psychiatrist this week and she DOES believe I have bipolar disorder based on my symptoms. Thank god I didn’t continue seeing dr funk!

I've never been to a psychiatrist that actually treated me like a human... he is so down to earth I am really glad I found this gem of a doc.

My experience with him has been very good from the start. I was nervous as I've never seen a psychiatrist before, but he has a way of identifying with you and making you feel at ease. He really seems to understand my concerns, is always on time (absolutely no wait time), and he always incorporates cognitive therapy techniques into the end of the visit which I love and find most useful.

Never have I experienced a Doctor of Psychiatry with such a lack of human compassion. He speaks to you with disconnection to the pain you are suffering and that you have come to him for advice and guidance for. He seems most engaged when he pulls out his reference book on what medication he can give you.
