Dr. Jonathan Gale, MD

Came into Mercy to have my appendix removed. Not overly impressed with this surgeon. Very sure of himself. I had told every staff member that I was allergic to adhesives. I made sure that my husband told this doctor this information before surgery. I was in recovery listening to my post op care. Sure enough there were steri stripes on each incision. I then had to wait for another PA to finish with surgery to remove them. Now the doctor had already left the building. Of course I had an allergic reaction. Doctors MUST take time and listen to your patients. It has been a month and I am still having problems from the adhesive and surgery site. Would not recommend this physician to anyone.

Dr. Johnathan Gale performed my Hernia surgery 3 months ago. It was a relatively long procedure given that I waited a bit too long to have my surgery. I give Dr. Gale an A+++ rating not only as a Surgeon, but for his overall personal personna which instilled confidence in me from minute ONE! And I am not the easiest of critics. Dr. Gale is One Top of the Line Surgeon whom I would strongly recommend to anybody having a General Surgical Procedure-One of which He Specializes In!!!

I have been a Registered Nurse for 32 years, so I think I know a bit. Although Dr. Gale did not perform my emergency bowel resection, unfortunately he was on call during the weekend. I experienced bleeding post op and after numerous calls to him by nursing, he finally showed up at 0209. He had absolutely no bedside manner and was very rough with me.Thank goodness I was fortunate to have a nurse who was my advocate. He certainly wasn’t. Another 36 hours passed before seeing him, after 6 pages to him. He was dismissive of myself and nursing staff. I could never recommend him to anyone.
