Dr. Kao is very bright, attentive & caring. Very detailed explanations. However, after doing my cataract surgery, sight & focus are great, but I must have 100 floaters. If I look at the sky with my new lens, it looks as if someone did target practice in the sky with dozens of shotgun shells was sent by the V.A. Healthcare program & will follow up with the Ophthalmologist at the V.A. to deal with the floaters.

Office personnel and protocol are top notch. This doctor seems to have nothing better to do than take care of your questions and concerns while doing his work efficiently. I've been to all kinds of eye doctors with my issues, and this is one of the Few Good Docs.

Dr. Kao is young, bright and a skilled opthamologist and surgeon. (Reserved) I am so grateful that I can see and have not had a single issue. The nurses and office staff are friendly, professional and can be counted on. Thank you, R Sollenberger

I choose East Valley Ophthalmology for my cataract eye surgery after going to 3 different doctors in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa, and after reviewing credentials, and my experience with getting questions answered satisfactorily - so glad I did... definitely didn't trying to sell me something... my surgeon explained everything to me, very thorough. If you're considering cataract surgery, especially any of those fancy multifocal lenses that are being offered, go with the best you can find, do your research. Go to East Valley Ophthalmology for a consultation... bring any questions you have and they will be answered fully. It's been a month since my surgery and I would highly recommend this place. This is a big decision and you want to feel confident in your doctor that he's doing it for the right reasons and knowing you have a great chance of success. That is what ultimately made me pick this place. Best choice of my life.
