I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and went to UCLA, where I received a bachelor's degree in anthropology and a master's degree in public health. I attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and then moved back to the West Coast to complete emergency medicine residency training at UC Davis in Sacramento. My wife and I love San Diego and plan to stay here for a very long time.
