Dr. Jonathan David Krant, MD

This was the worst doctor I have ever seen. Blamed my symptoms on being slightly overweight, despite having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia by multiple other doctors for many years (and at normal weight as well). He literally said the words "Look at those stretchmarks!!" in a exclamatory disgusted manner when I lifted my shirt for examination. They were actually subtle stretchmarks I've had since puberty. Rude, unprofessional, no helpful whatsoever. Left crying and traumatized.

Dr. Krant was my doctor for years..he was the best dr. I ever met and his bedside manner is second to none..i miss him and as far as opiates i am opiate free but still havnt found a specialist with his great dimeaner and knowledge..if you knew the amount of paients he has to treat in one day you would be more understanding..In the 8 years hewas was specialist and primary and i never knew better care..He provided the best care and maybe the ones who put him down should look inside and see what kind of care they actually desire because in 22 years of as ive found noone who comes close..god bless him!!!

When he was in Pittsfield Massachusetts, he had tons of patients on Opiods.. Hence he is in Ny Now.. Be careful he is dangerous..

The only "test" that this so-called "doctor" did was to put 1 finger on my sternum and ask if that hurt. When I said it didn't, he told me that I didn't have fibromyalgia and that was it - no other tests to figure out why I was having leg pain. Instead, he said "I could lose some weight" and that would presumably help. The pain progressed to all of my joints to the point where I could barely move. When I went to a real physician, she was shocked because #1, I am NOT overweight! She immediately ordered some pretty basic blood tests, and lo and behold, rheumatoid arthritis. I also have osteoarthritis and needed spinal surgery! I found out that two of my work colleagues had similar experiences. I reported Dr. Krant to the ethics board, and maybe that was a reason why he's leaving Adirondack Health - good riddance!

Krant has a practice in the Hamptons. I can only presume he treats those clients better. Although I have a rare disorder, Krant did not bother to review my records. Changed a fourteen year diagnosis made by three other board certified rheumatologist without rationale and sent me for a needed brace without any instructions regarding my condition. His office staff is rarely available and consistently rude. There are better rheumatologist elsewhere. Krant just occupies space in the under used new center buildings at Adirondack Health. He is more than part time; he is simply not here.

Very rude staff both in person and on the phone. Dr. Krant spends very little time with you, then you have to deal with his very rude staff. Better to find another doctor.

Thinks that he knows everything, but actually is wrong most of the time! Staff is very rude!

After two weeks of being told I had a virus and then told it might not be a virus but they didn't know what was wrong, by my doctors interns, I went to see Dr. Krant. He looked at me and told me I either had Lupus or RA because of the butterfly rash on my face. By this time I was on a low dose of steroids just to be able to walk and even that hurt. Every muscle and joint was stiff and nothing relieved it. My ankles, feet, and lower legs were swollen along with my wrists. When both blood tests came back negative, Dr. Krant told me to stop taking my prednisone (only later did I learn I should have weaned off of them) and I should be fine now. When I asked him what was wrong, that I knew something was still wrong, he said "you have fibromyalgia". Just like that. No point test. Nothing. After going to three support meetings, I realized my symptoms were nothing like people with fibromyalgia. Two years later, after I switched primary doctors, my new doctor discovered that in my files… a year after my misdiagnosis with Krant, an xray showed nodes throughout both my lungs. Long story short, after having a lung biopsy, I have sarcoidosis. It has now spread to my eyes, sinuses, liver, spleen and possibly my heart. It's also suspected to be in my muscles and bones. I don't know if not being diagnosed with the righ diagnoses sooner would have made a difference but this guy needs to go back to medical school. My symptoms were classic bone sarcoidosis symptoms. This guy shouldn't even have a license!
