I was born and raised in Utah. I was recruited and played college soccer at Brigham Young University (BYU) where I received my education in Biology. Looking for a high quality dental education, I attended and graduated with distinction from University of Kentucky with my Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) in 2002.
An avid believer in the importance of continuing education, I have furthered my training through extensive continuing education courses in cosmetic and general dentistry. I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Arizona Dental Association (AZDA). I also am a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) that requires a much more rigorous continuing education than the standard state requirements. With love of all phases of dentistry I especially enjoy seeing the cosmetic makeovers and the change it has on peoples' lives. "It is so fun and fulling to see your patient smile and see their face light up when the look in the mirror for …the first time after the makeovers." One of my recent focuses has been working with the Cerec system (same-day crowns). Although, I have been doing these same-day crowns for several years, I have been fascinated with the recent technological enhancements. The quality has now become as good if not better than lab fabricated crowns. "The patients love not have the gooey, gagging impressions, no obnoxious temporaries and not having to get numbed up again...this all in about 1 hour!"
I am married for over 16 years to my beautiful wife Heidi from Preston, Idaho (yes the town from the movie Napoleon Dynamite). Together we are raising our 5 beautiful daughters in Gilbert, AZ As a family I love spending as much time together.
I also spend much of my time both in and out of the dental office in service to others. One of the organizations that I help out with is "Save the Family." This is a service providing free dental work to single mothers and children trying to get their lives back together. " I have always felts if you are going to be successful in your life you need to give back." In addition to teaching and serving in my local church, I volunteer and coach one of the top girls club soccer teams in the state. You can often find me and my family out doing service to those in need of the community.
