Summary
About Me
I grew up in San Francisco, spent a few years in Los Angeles for undergraduate training, and went to medical school at University of California, Davis. I then left California for the cold of the Midwest for residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. I completed my training in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, working in Abdominal Imaging as well as Radiology Informatics. I am now happy to be back home in California with my family. I started working at Kaiser Permanente at Walnut Creek in 2005 as a general radiologist.
I am very interested in imaging informatics, which focuses on using systems (primarily technology) to improve access to and better utilize imaging information for the solving of medical problems. This is a natural outgrowth of my undergraduate training in anthropology and my experience in the computer-heavy field of radiology. I see myself as a bridge between the technical side of medicine and the people who actually have to use the technology.
I chose the …Kaiser Permanente system because I knew of its work on using technology to improve patient care and its emphasis on evidence-based medicine. It is the perfect place for me to work in my two chosen areas of interest.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews
Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.
Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
