Dr. Jonathan C Merkle, MD

Staff was so rushed they did not answer any of my questions! And they are impossible to get by phone!

I wanted to go back to him to find out he blocked me from the office. I’m on oxygen and is very sick. I thought this was very rude and is upset about this. I do not recommend him to anyone. I thought the world of him until I found out he blocked me from the office. Very rude.

I've been using Dr. Merkle for years. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a scheduled appointment and have always been treated with respect and kindness. I prefer trying natural methods to help cure illness if at all possible (I did have to make this known to him and I believe it is noted on my chart) and Dr. Merkle has worked with me in every way he can on this issue, I especially appreciate this. On several occasions I have had to be referred to a specialist and his recommendations have always proved to be good choices! His staff is friendly and efficient. I would recommend him as a GP to anyone.

My heart was racing at 141 bpm when the nurse checked, and Iaskked for a refill of propanolol, as I've taken it before for pvc's and tachycardia. I have autonomic dysreflexia and have literally been in tears recently over how bad I've felt and how hard my heart is overworking. He absolutely refused to prescribe it, even though I've taken it before and KNOW that it helps me dramatically. It's hard to sleep or focus when it feels like your heart is beating out of your chest for little reason. I absolutely do not recommend seeing Dr. Merkle.

The only doctor I have ever known who examined me, prescribed meds, then discharged me....without telling me what the diagnosis was. (I went back in and the receptionist told me I had bronchitis.) After a 40 minute wait, Dr. M. was in and out muy pronto. The attending nurse was as friendly and informative as a zombie. I am looking for another GP.
