I am not an easy patient. I had a lot of anxiety due to possible breast cancer. Dr. Nelson understood my fears and worked very hard to put me at ease. He had a very kind demeanor in giving the bad news and tried hard to find kleenexes for me. I found him to be very compassionate, forthright and encouraging. He immediately set a course for treatment, set up all the various doctors to be included in the team for my care. In the long run, he will not do my surgery simply because downtown Houston is too far from home. The Methodist hospital in the Woodlands has a team of breast cancer specialists and is only 37 miles from home vs more than 100 to St. Lukes in downtown Houston. I had read his earlier reviews and was cautious but he quelled my concerns quickly. I would recommend him.

Told my wife that she would have to stay on meds for the rest of her life! He performed the Nissen fundoplication surgery on her back in Sept. 2016, through the Kelsey Seybold Clinic system. She has been in misery ever since then because of the BOTCHED JOB that he did on her ! So many sutures! We trusted in his judgment. Wrong decision on our part! Dr. Elias Darido with Houston Heartburn & Reflux Center just corrected the screw up that he did ! Thanks Dr. Nelson a LOT for causing my wife to be SO miserable for all of this time ! You are a JOKE TO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION !

Unprofessional, condescending, and uncaring. Not characteristics I seek in my physician.

Dr. Nelson is always willing to answer any questions I have.

Dr. Nelson has always gone out of his way for me to insure that my needs are met. His surgical skills are great, but it's his bedside manner that makes him a standout. He truly cares about patients, listens, and goes above and beyond to make me feel as though I have all the information necessary to under stand my diagnosis/treatment.
