Dr. Jonathan I Raffes, PhD

I’ve been seeing Jonathan for several months for extended therapy in dealing with ongoing issues related to loneliness and difficulty in social relationships despite my outward success in many ways. He’s been deeply empathetic and supportive in helping me work through the damage caused by the bad parenting I received that still leaves me deeply wounded. He’s deeply kind, extremely supportive, well-trained and talented, and always on my side and fully present. My best therapist ever, over a period of decades.

I went to see him about long-standing panic disorder and wound up talking about a lot more. I’m older and found it very helpful. He’s also very handsome (blush)!

He is a nice and polite man but despite being well spoken and well-meaning, well-trained and well-educated he is lacking genuine insight and so I found the visits to be disappointing and a waste of time and money.

Sympathetic but scientific. I liked him and respected him.
