Dr. Jonathan Patrick Richard, MD

I have been going to doctor Richard for the past two years. It was refreshing to have a doctor that asked a lot of questions and listened. I never felt like he was in a rush to get to the next patient. My place of business requires an annual physical and he gave me the most in depth one I've had in 40 years. His staff is excellent as well. After 20+ years of being treated like an assembly line patient it was refreshing to receive personal care.

We had a doctor before that prescribed meds and didn't listen to us. Dr. Richard listens! He talks to us and listens to what we have to say, and if we (my whole family goes to him) find something that we think may help us - he already knows about it, or will research it with us. He's been on top of my depression, diabetes and asthma; and yes, I am taking less meds now than I was before going to him!!

Misdiagnosed and insists he can do everything. Does NOT take Medicare!

We had a doctor before that didn't listen to our concerns - Dr Richard listens and then comments - if I read about new things, he is ahead of me and relays positive and negatives - he is not condescending and is personable - He has helped me and my family for the last 10 years - I would (and Do!) recommend him!

I was referred to this dr for a problem that other drs could not diagnose. He diagnosed me and I went to his office once a week for 2 years with him always finding something else wrong with me. I developed other problems which he would only agree to treat with medications. 10 years on steroids, 8 on penicillin - now my immune system is shot. He corrected my grammar in front of other patients. He ran scads of tests only to find some minute low or high (1point) sometimes and then more meds. When he prescribed the 17th meds(all taken every day), I fired him, told him he was not taking care of my pain issues and got my records and went to a pain management specialist who has been treating me ever since (for about 10 years). I have liver problems from the meds Dr. Richard prescribed, as well as other medical issues related to the combination of medications he insisted on prescribing. I would not send a dog to him. I'm surprised that he is still practicing, but drs. stick up for… other drs. in Texas - that's just the way it is. My life has been so much better since I fired this incompetent.

Dr. Richard is very caring and helpful. He listens to his patients concerns and does a great job diagnosing the problem.
