Dr. Jonathan M Ricker

Long wait to receive results from endoscopy, numerous calls to office, staff not responsive, still waiting over 1 week for Dr. Ricker to inform me of the findings. It was a chore just to get the endoscopy scheduled, I feel the staff show no urgency while I continue to suffer. They were supposed to schedule an ultrasound as well, numerous calls to the office and no one seems to know what's going on. Keep getting the runaround. Latest call I made about getting the ultrasound I was told a Crystal would call me back but she never did. Meanwhile the ultrasound was supposed to be scheduled before the endoscopy but the office dropped the ball and it was never scheduled and Dr. Ricker was unaware his staff never followed through with his orders. There is no coordination or effective communication between the doctor, staff and patient. I am ready to contact CMS and report them. When I end up in the emergency room with a ruptured gallbladder because of the office's malpractice, negligence, and… neglect there will be a lawsuit to follow. I am using an alias to post this review for HIPAA reasons.

Dr. Ricker seems very knowledgeable and explains things well. My procedure went well even though it had high potential for complications.

Was diagnosed in Seattle in 2006 with Barrett's esophagus. I have had 8 EGD's - 6 in Seattle and 2 in Idaho over the years. Had my first one in Nevada, with Dr Ricker, as I moved here last spring. I have not had a Dr with as poor of bedside manner as Dr Ricker previously, in either Seattle or Idaho. He was arrogant, and seemed to act as though he was inconvenienced by my being there. Following my EGD, the Dr normally comes out and tells my wife and me what they found. In this case, the nurse said he'd be coming out shortly, which he never did. The nurse ultimately found that he had left the office, and went home, presumably, as I was the last patient of the day. She seemed quite embarrassed, as she was waiting with me. She kept apologizing for the wait, and for him actually not showing up. I have always received a report, as well as photos of my EGD, during the closing meeting with the Dr. In this case I received nothing. Extremely disappointed, and will surely request a… different Dr for my next EGD.

This is a terrible office. They don't answer their phone and they don't return phone calls!!

I went for a consultation for a colonoscopy. I got right in on time for my appointment. Dr. Ricker answered all my questions about the procedure and put me at ease.
