I had to wait three months to get an appointment with this so called “pain specialist.” His staff changed my appointment time three days prior to my appointment (from 3 pm to 2 pm). I had to move another medical appointment to accommodate this. I got there at 2 and was not seen by the doctor until 3:45. He walked in, didn’t listen to me, then spewed a clearly preset narrative. Suggested anti-depressant for pain following major surgery. I’m not depressed! I have major scarring and a huge lump in my uterus. He was completely unsympathetic and rude. Do not waste your time with him.

I am an 84 year old retired trial attorney .My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Robbins for the last 3 years. We have found him to be excellent in all fazes of our medical need. His treatments and recommendations have been on the money. No need to go further.

Dr. Robbins listens, but doesn’t hear. His responses to patient inquiries are most often driven by his internal narrative, not from a sympathetic hearing of his patients’ concerns — and, as a result, are, at least some of the time, unsatisfying and/or inappropriate. I finally chose a different care provider. More experience, and more reviews like this one, are likely to motivate him to grow and improve — since he obviously has the intelligence and training necessary to do so, but at this time comes up short on empathy.

I had to comfort his nurse upset after witnessing his attitude toward me during my visit. Suggest he stick to teaching......

First of all I practiced medicine and mental health for over 40 years.Was on the faculty of a family practice residency and an administrator and an educator. I'm 79 years old. I was assigned JRobbins when my physician was on vacation.He refused to treat my severe condition and offered me two drugs clearly not indicated for my age or condition and would have risked my life. I'm in the process of filing a malpractice complaint with the board of medical examiners
