Dr. Jonathan Sachs, MD

Gen practitioner referred me to Sachs requesting a specific test for an issue with my throat and/or esophagus. Arrogant Sachs said he doesn't do tests other drs recommend and proceeded to try to "sell" me his services for colonoscopy with little regard to my severe throat distress. Sach's notes questioned an additional 3rd specialist's written diagnosis of a rare & complex disease that Sach's knows nothing about & his specific note provides evidence that he doesn't have a clue about the most recent diagnostic protocol. What arrogance! Then he wrote "colonoscopy screening" and billed an outrageous amount--almost $600 for a 7-10 min visit where no such screening took place (only an attempt to sell the screening procedure).

I went in for what I thought would be a routine colonoscopy. Dr. Sachs accurately diagnosed a problem which upon biopsy turned out to be extremely serious, eventually requiring major surgery. Without his intervention, the condition would have been terminal. He is also very straightforward, explains issues in understandable language and maintains a high degree of professionalism. I recommend him without reservation. I found the physical offices to be very clean, convenient and up to date, and the procedures for bowel prep and conduct of the procedure were easy to cope with.
