Do NOT go anywhere near anyone at Keiper Spine. I am permanently hobbled and cannot get the surgeon to even admit to what he wrote in the surgical report and said to my face with a relative present. Stay away, stay away, stay away.

I have had several surgeries performed by Dr Sherman and he is a well versed, professional and caring surgeon. I have been a registered nurse for over 40 years and I say you can't find better in the state of Oregon!

I was refered to him by my Internest . It is a three hour trip one way. Well worth the drive. Very happy with is services and that of his staff. Three other family members have used his services and are also very pleased.

I never saw Sherman, i got vetted by his PA who told me I have arthritis in my back. Ten years of doctor..news to me. He said there was no surgery for arthritis I went home after told me accept that I would just go downhill rapidly and should watch for a wheelchair in the next 5 years. I found Mayo clinic, Johns Hopkins, and JAMA all recommend fusion surgery for arthritis.

At 26 years old I needed spine surgery on L4-5 due to a herniated disk caused by a firm back roller. I had experienced athrophy from a previous surgery which contributed to injury. Coming from a family of world class surgeons I felt comfortable moving forward with the procedure Dr. Sherman suggested. Everything went smooth as planned. I had a 100% recovery after working with Stazsack PT and working on my core strength 1yeat later. I’m now 28 and felt obligated to let others know how much Dr.Sherman helped me! I’m going skydiving in two weeks and able to do all the physical activities I love again! Thank you x 1million! Highly highly recommended in the Eugene area!!

Though running late, Dr. Sherman was thorough in explaining my condition. I was very impressed.

Be very careful when choosing a neurosurgeon. Research the doctor. Research their infection rate. Ask pointed questions. Donâ??t be afraid to have your own opinions when talking with them. Ask them how quickly you should start feeling positive progression after the surgery. Ask how accessible they will be after the surgery. Get the answers in writing. Get a phone number before surgery that someone with compassion answersâ??a contact point for you if you are having problems. Ask what the policies are in the hospital regarding if, when, and where the surgeon will visit you post-operatively. Most importantly, have a plan in place for just in case everything goes wrong, the surgeon becomes inaccessible post-operatively, and all of a sudden your single surgery turns into four.

I wouldn't see him if he was the last Dr on earth

I had a broken back from a motorcycle accident... I layed in a bed at mission hospital for 1 week awaiting the special equipment needed to do a, new ,at the time, spinal fusion... I walked out of the hospital, the following day... In pain of course, buy I was back to work in approximately 8 weeks.. Back surgery has come a long way, you would never suspect that I had a broken back and a fused spine. I'm still very limber and flexible...

Believe should have read reviews; however, this doctor was incredibly, not read or interested in reading add'l info & radiology reports on disc that I had in hand. He seemed to determined to look at one thing; believing no further info that patient stated -- so w/o looking and/or listening or reviewing; & his outlook seeming if he wasn't 100% sure of 100% outcome he didn't want any form of possible negative on his record -- it's just one enormous WOW. Good cheer & blessing who chose a different Surgeon, and bypass this 1st or 2nd opinion.
