This office referred me to a DO Dr. Varlotta who performed the most painful procedure in my entire life with no positive results whatsover...and a practitioner and procerdure not approved by medicare nor my insurance. I would find another office.

I was in intense pain when I first visited with Dr. Stieber. He immediately diagnosed the problem and had no doubts about the plan of surgery. Dr. Stieber was quick to schedule me for spinal surgery and within a week of surgery the pain was gone and I was once again walking free of discomfort. He is a no no nonsense physician who goes straight to the problem and will not perform unnecessary surgery. I wholeheartedly recommend him !!

I would highly recommend Dr. Jonathan Stieber at Ortho Manhattan for spinal surgery. For about two years I lived in horrible pain after a bad slip and fall. I couldn’t do very much of anything at times - lift my 6lb dog, lie down, exercise to keep healthy, social activities, and work was impaired. I felt I was too young for this, being in my 40s, and due to this pain it prevented me from living life to the fullest. I was depressed and scared – uncertain if I would experience this pain for the rest of my days; it was debilitating and affected every aspect of my life. I spent thousands of dollars meeting with various surgeons for consultations but no one, I felt, checked all the boxes - until I met Dr. Stieber. He had the confidence, experience, education, and a complete understanding of my situation. I met with him three times before I underwent my L5-S1 interior lumbar interbody fusion with instrumented posterior spinal fusion, and each time I felt better and better about his… capabilities and my rate of success. I had prayed to God to bring me the right surgeon and to be 100% pain-free. We’ll, my wish was granted. Thank you Dr. Stieber for turning my life around, for your great staff, and aftercare. Dr. Jonathan Stieber recently performed complicated cervical spine surgery on me at NYU Langone, and I can't speak highly enough of both his technical skills and his patient care. He has involved me in every stage of decision making about my treatment. His practice and staff are highly professional and provide excellent customer service. I feel fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Stieber and recommend him without reservation to anyone requiring spine surgery.

Dr. Stieber operated on me 2x, successfully in 2014 to treat a herniated disk, a bulging disk, & spinal stenosis. In 2016 due to aging & my spine's tendancy for spinal stenosis & bulging disks he performed surgery for L2-L3 laminectomy with TLIF, L5-S1 transfacet decompression with TLIF, and L2-S1 instrumentation. Doc once again did all he could to alleviate my discomfort. I'm a little stiff now but a daily dose of an NSAID relieves that. I consider him a very honest and skilled surgeon.

Not only is Dr. Stieber a world-class surgeon, he and his entire staff are truly caring people. After years of suffering with neck pain, loss of function, and sciatica, I finally resolved to have spinal surgery. I was lucky enough to wind up at Dr. Stieber's door in 2010, when I promptly "chickened out" after listening to the description on the procedure. Six years later, with failing senses in my arm and sever pain in my leg, I returned and was fortunate to have Dr. Stieber accept my case. Days after my surgeries, there was considerable, noticeable improvement in my condition and now, some 12 weeks past cervical fusion and 8 weeks post-lumbar fusion, I am literally a new man. Dr Stieber is a great doctor and a really terrific surgeon - very caring and simply extremely good at what he does. I very highly recommend him to everyone. His staff - Bethany, Jenifer, Sandra and Nancy couldn't be any better. This doctor and his medical practice is simply the best you can find.

Dr Stieber gave me back my life. When I went to him I could hardly walk and I was in constant severe pain walking, sitting, standing, lying down didn't matter. My legs, hips, back and knees were all affected. I was on my way to becoming crippled. Dr Stieber operated on me 2 1/2 years ago and I have been pain free ever since. All I can say is that I will be eternally grateful to him.

Doc gave me my life back. Before L3-L5 TLIF surgery w/laminectomy, had herniation, spondylolthesis, bulging disk and severe pain sneezing, walking more than 1/2 street, standing. Was at pain level 8, now 1 on worst days treatable w/600mg ibuprofren 2x weekly. Great surgeon, honest, tells like it is, great staff. Best 60 birthday present i gave myself.
