Dr. Jonathan Tagliareni, DDS

Jonathan M. Tagliareni, DDS, specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery, caring for teens and adults who need wisdom tooth removal, dental implants (including bone grafting and site preparation), tooth extractions, jaw (orthognathic) surgery and treatment for facial injuries and oral pathology (cysts, tumors, impacted canines, lesions that need biopsy). He also evaluates TMJ disorders and jaw pain, offering options that range from IV sedation and in-office procedures to hospital-based care when necessary. He works closely with family dentists, orthodontists and medical teams to restore comfort, function and a confident smile.Dr. Tagliareni’s clinical background includes leadership in hospital and private-practice settings and inclusion in peer-reviewed publications on topics such as head and neck infections and surgical management of mucogingival conditions. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center/Geisinger Medical Center, preceded by an OMFS internship at Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Clinic and an OMFS internship/GPR at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. Before dental school, he completed post-baccalaureate biology studies at Nova Southeastern University and a BS in Decision & Information Sciences at the University of Florida. His professional experience also includes service as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
