Dr. Jonathan David Vacik, MD

Nothing like finding out that the dirty looking guy who's dressed like he works in a sewer is actually the DOCTOR. I guess it's what allows him to 'bond' with all the drunks and druggies they pick off the streets in Ayer that wind up in the ER. 3rd rate medical school in deep south and should be working in a 3rd world country where OUTDATED anti-biotic, dangerous medication protocols and cleanliness aren't an issue. Vacik gave me an outdated protocol for c.diff. Also precribed meds that caused CONSTIPATION as to keep the TOXINS produced by c.diff in the system LONGER. Metrodiazonale for first time C.diff is OUTDATED anti-biotic PROTOCOL and he gave an extended time period to take it that was 2X as long as the outdated protocol. His 'reasoning' was that Vancomycin was too 'expensive'. Well probably in Haiti where he should be working. But he had NO CAUSE to give an outdated AB protocol given that Vanco was covered by my insurance. Only 'cause' was he's NOT UP TO DATE with progress… in medical protocols. I reported him to one of the local pharmacists who CONFIRMED to me that Vacik prescribed an outdated AB protocol and also NARCOTICS and anti-nausea meds (when I had NO nausea) whereas both meds CAUSE constipation as to keep c.diff TOXINS in body longer which is potentially dangerous. Pharmacist gave the Ayer hospital a call. On my next trip to the Ayer ED for a RELAPSE of c.diff, they RETALIATED against me for reporting Vacik. They retaliated by NOT assigning me ANY doctor because they did not want to recognize I was there for RELAPSE c.diff. They sent me home BEFORE the test CONFIRMED I was positive for c.diff again. The Ayer hospital ED would do better if they had RESIDENTS from top rate med schools who would be more up to date than the DOLT doctors they have.
