Dr. Jonathan Dale Walker, MD

I am 84 years old and have only peripheral vision in one eye and was on my way to blindness in my other eye. I have my sight today only because of Dr. Walker and his absolute assurance and expert care so that I "would not go blind on his watch". He is very kind, caring, thorough, knowledgeable, and certainly has been more than generous to make my care affordable. I am so thankful and blessed to be under his care.

Doctor Walker is a great doctor. I was told almost 4 years ago that I had 6 months to a year before I went blind from diabetic retinopathy. I am still sighted because of this man, my guardian angel. He is a very kind man, and it shows. I was so scared when I was first given my diagnosis, I am not any more. I have total faith in this man and what he can do. Very gentle and humble. His staff is equally kind.

My optometrist referred me to Dr. Walker when he saw retinal problems during my annual exam. Dr. Walker has been treating me for about 15 years now. He is caring and encouraging and always explains what is happening. He has an excellent staff who run the high tech diagnostic instruments and make me comfortable. I have no experience with any other retina specialists, but feel my optometrist sent me to the best.

I have been seeing Dr. Walker for a vein occlusion resulting in loosing my vision in my left eye. My regular ophthalmologist called that morning and he got me in that afternoon. I told him how much I appreciated that and he said "blindness can't wait". He had numerous tests done with a very efficient and nice staff. With his recommendation, he was also honest about the risk from the medication vs being totally blind and did this with each visit and injection. He patiently answers all questions even though he is very busy. He is also honest that my sight may never be normal but the goal is to improve it and to do whatever I can do health wise to keep my right eye healthy (deal with all risks of atherosclerosis and abnormal clotting). Thankfully at this point most of my sight has been restored although there are still recurring problem areas in my retina.
