Dr. Jonathan William Wheeler, MD

Doctors are not paid enough for the work that's expected of them. Still, when I had a recent physical exam, he spent nearly an hour with me, mostly going over my medical history and my blood lab results. Managing a patient's expectations are difficult, and I've now read other patients who hold Dr. Wheeler in lower regard. Still, I think he spent more time with me than anticipated, and we achieved the desired results; namely, he directed me to a few additional tests with appropriate specialists to further examine a couple of areas of concern. That's as much as I'd expect of any doctor. Is he Great? Perhaps, but he's certainly good, and for that, I'm appreciative.

Dr. Wheeler seems to be a capable enough doctor. Unfortunately, the professionalism with which he and his office staff conduct themselves is atrocious. He requires appointments to be made in order to sign documents required by the state. Even when an appointment was made, the forms were not accurately filled out and his office staff has little sense of urgency or empathy in helping to expedite the process of getting the necessary information. As a result, my forms were not able to reach the appropriate state office in time and I lost out on benefits.
