When people go to the emergency room they are in need of immediate and compassionate care. This doctor took a distressing situation and made it traumatic. So much so that I pulled an IV out of my arm and left the emergency room. He also violated my patient privacy rights by intentionally closing the curtain but leaving the door open without my knowledge so he could stand outside my room to hear what I might say about him to my husband after I strongly told him to leave. They have sliding doors with curtains at KU Med's emergency room. Because then he stormed back into my room and confronted me after hearing what I did say about him to my husband. His exact words were, 'I just heard what you said about me.' At that point I felt like I was dealing with a teenager. So I again strongly told him to leave my room and to shut the door and curtain so I could get dressed and leave.
