Dr Wilks has been treating me for type II diabetes for several years now. He is understanding and has a great bedside manner. He is truthful and direct.

He was very rude and didn't care about anything I had to say I was sent to him for further testing and he didn't even bother to attempt that. I think he only wants to get the office visit and do the most minimal which amounts to nothing.

Have decided to change doctors. Had one bad experience which resulted in other problems. Not helpful in getting me an appointment with a specialists. Gives pills for everything.

The doctor's nurse never returns phone calls or follows up. Very indifferent to patients' needs.

The doctor depends on his staff and the Mercy clinic system for follow up tests and lab work. It is NEVER done and the staff is not competent. Stay away!

Nurses are totally unresponsive. The dr. Is not very helpfull. The worst we have experienced.

It takes a couple visits to get used to Dr. Wilks' quiet manner but it's worth taking the time. He's a good diagnostician and listens well. He takes patient input seriously rather than dictating course of care. Not the doctor for passive patients but excellent for those active in selecting their own healthcare options.
