Dr. Jonathan M Winograd, MD

After waiting 6 hours for surgery and the Dr could not be found, he finally showed up with an attitude. Things went south from there and he began yelling at me. To add salt to the wound, I was charged with a mysterious charge that no one could explain. After taking to my insurance providers, they were going to open up an investigation. I shortly got a call from the Dr and he said he would write the charges off. Not the best experience. My surgeries have been really bad at MGH to say the least. Trying to get in touch with Pt advocacy is terrible. They promise to get back to you and never do. It's been 2 years since I talked to them and am trying to get info on my last disastrous surgery with no luck. Now I have contacted JACO and HHS to see what I can do.

Post-surgery infection, leaking implant, and poorly coordinated team. I had to find another surgeon to undo what he had done.

Dr Winograd did surgery on mY chronic nonhealing wound. He is a profound plastic surgeon that exemplifies compassion concern and dedication to his patients! His surgical skills are extremely impressive! This was my 3rd surgery and he is the doctor that finally resolved the problem! I highly recommend Dr Winograd!

Dr. Winograd and his staff were amazing from booking my consultation all the way through to my post-surgical follow-ups. Dr. Winograd took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns at my consultation without me feeling rushed. The day of my surgery the staff made me extremely comfortable and calmed my nerves. Everyone was very attentive to my well being and I felt confident that I had chosen the right surgeon and staff for my surgery. I did have some post-surgical complications afterwards (completely unexpected and nothing related to the surgery itself) of which Dr. Winograd and his staff stayed on top of immediately. They called to check in on me regularly and made sure to make me as comfortable as possible. I am extremely happy with the outcome of my procedure. Dr. Winograd did exactly what he said he was going to do and the results were amazing. I had read the previous reviews prior to my surgery and did not agree with what had been said about Dr. Winograd based on my… interaction with him. Surgeons are a different breed and not always warm and fuzzy as people want them to be. They have a job to do and they are there to present all the facts of which Dr. Winograd did for me. He did not posture himself in a way that was condescending or off-putting but rather he spoke to me in a very honest and professional manor. His staff was just as professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Winograd and his staff. They are professional, talented and most of all very caring and supportive.

We never made it to the surgery stage. At our consultation I asked Dr. Winograd to comment on his ratings on the internet. It seems people love him or hate him. I offered him an out, wondering if people go into surgery with unrealistic expectations. Dr. Winograd got very defensive and accused me of blindsiding him. I tried to explain I wanted to discuss expectations but he kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me finish my thoughts. We did not use Dr. Winograd

Very nice doctor but I'm so upset and disappointed in my results. after radiation my left breast began to really sag so I saw Dr. Winograd he recommend a lift. Omg so disappointed, I just can't even look at that breast anymore. I also had vaginoplasty done at the same time, even more let down. One side was completely removed while the other side is all jagged. I feel like I could have done better with a pair of scissors. I'm sure he's amazing with serious procedures but breast lifts and vaginoplasty, big disappointment Out $3,000 ð???

Like many of the others posting here, I was so disappointed with my outcome from surgery by Dr. Winograd. He was sort off charming at first but when I expressed some concerns after the surgery he became very, very cool, defensive and aloof. I feel betrayed and hoodwinked in a way. I went to another surgeon afterwards and he "corrected" Dr. Winograd's botched job on me. Just stay away from this shyster.

Dr Winograd was great as long as things went well. As soon as there was a real problem resulting from his surgery, he became hostile and blaming. Offered a solution leaving me impaired for the rest of my life while another surgeon came up with a solution. He didn't want to be bothered. So disappointing!

Result was unacceptable, poor follow up.

I was misdiagnosed and Dr Winograd defensive and unwilling to even discuss the errors made in surgery. I was left mutilated and had to seek another surgeon. He might be skillful, but only when things go right.
