He does not listen to your problems and throws medicine at you.

Unfortunately I've known Dr. Yun for many years my mother used to be his personal medical assistant a few years ago. So since we had some sort of relationship I entrusted him with my families care. HUGE mistake! I've been a nurse for over 7 years and been in healthcare for over 10. Never have I had a doctor so unbelievably arrogant, with horrible bed side manner, and not willing to listen to a patient. I have been on the same medication for about 12 years after trying so many things and he decides just to tell me that he will not prescribe it basically because my husband also takes the same medication. Ridiculous! I walked in and staff was very nice and helpful. Just getting off of work my husband was supposed to make both of us a appointment but only made one for himself. Since we lived far away and my work is somewhat close my husband allowed me to take his spot as long as I made him his own appointment ASAP. My appointment was was a simple medication refill. I was diagnosed with… anxiety since 2007. Been taking my medications since 2007. Unfortunately my husband also takes the same medication and needs a refill as well. Dr. Yun just out flat refused to prescribe me my medication. His office has been prescribing the same medication to me for over a year. Why just abruptly stop? Especially since this is not one of those medications you can just abruptly stop because it can cause seizures, bad withdrawals and in extreme cases death. He accused me of just trying to get my husband medication when this was for me. As a healthcare professional I have never been accused of anything like this. Its offensive. He also lied on his medical notation saying that I stormed out of the room when in all actuality he did. He just left the room without telling me anything. His medical assistant had to enter the room and tell me I need to go because they need the room. I didnt even know my appointment was done. Hes rude, not compassionate towards patient and does not listen to what you have to say. Thank god my insurance finally got switched to sd county I can finally start trying to find a new doctor for my family. I am not surprised he has such low reviews on multiple sites.

Dr is taking away my medications

There's a reason why this place has a 1 star. I bet 90% of the reviewers would give them a 0 if they could. There's absolutely no reason for anyone to come here. I wish I didn't have to write such a negative review but this is not a good doctors office. I don't want others to get mistreated so I feel oblidged to post this. I've been to this same doctor twice On the first visit I came here to get my thyroid checked, ears cleaned & physical exam. I wanted to get my ears cleaned because I used to do this at the UCI (Irvine college) hospital. When the doctor checked my ears she said I had alot of wax in them so she'd clean it out for me & told me to come back every 6 months if I wanted them to clean them out again. My hearing was amazing after that! So...I was hoping to keep this tradition back home in Murrieta. However, the older lady assistant said my ears were perfectly fine. I don't believe her because my hearing isn't as good. It felt like she was rushing & neglected to… clean my ears because it wasn't an emergency. The same happened when I mentioned my thyroid. She didn't check to see how my thyroid was, she just said I was fine. Yet, I've spoken with a previous doctor who physically checked me & then said I was fine, but a little on the higher side. On the second visit I had Dr. Yun examine me. I immediately knew something was wrong/off with the office & front desk staff. It's no surprise that no one said hello to me when I arrived. The front desk was on the phone for 5 minutes. She never told me to hold & barely looked at me. She finally asked how she could help me once she got off the phone. This was awkward because I never experienced such an unwelcoming & uncomfortable situation at the front desk of a hospital. The front desk are usually there to make you feel warm, relaxed & welcomed. The assistant that checks your pulse, weight, etc. wasn't friendly either. She just grabbed my arm without asking, practically yanked it & then took my pulse. She again never said hello to me, just treated me like I was wasting her time or something. Dr. Yun's examination was the worst I've ever experienced. He rushed through the entire appointment as if his dinner was burning on the stovetop or something. He wasn't gentle. He wasn't polite. He almost looked as if he had an attitude. He rushed & was aggresive during the physical examination. Then I mentioned 4 health issues I was concerned about & he just said I was fine for each one, without any diagnosing. You can't just look at someone & tell them they're okay. You need to do a proper diagnosis. Also, he asked me if I had been to that hopsital before. I was there just 2 years ago & yet he didn't have any record of it. We spent a good 5 minutes thinking if I had been there or not. CLEARLY I remember being there just 2 years ago. So they didn't have my record & the doctor just thought I was stupid or something or lying about ever being there. I cannot believe how disgraceful this doctor's office is. I've never been treated this way in my life. I honestly hope they'll shut down because this is OUR HEALTH! We're not just some filthy guinea pigs. How many people have gone to that hospital and have been improperly diagnosed or mistreated? Absolute disgrace!

Incompetent and uncaring.

Disregarded my concerns, which was the reason for the visit, as non sequential. I learned later they were indeed valid by another health care professional. I hope Dr. Yun or his staff is reading these reviews as they need to step up their game professionally! His back office is inept and have made many mistakes which could cause Dr. Yun his license!

This doctor is fair, but he seems to doubt severity of any symptom I'm having. Maybe it's just how his personality is, but it can be frustrating. Very difficult to get referrals to specialists too (i.e. Dermatologist) he decides to treat any issues himself. No follow-up appointments or calls. He prescribes medications, but you have to ask him first, or he generally just walks out after a diagnosis. I would say he's an average general practitioner. No more, no less.

He was just going with the flow

Dr Yun is a fabulous D.O. & his staff if top rate as well. The office is clean & all paperwork is handled w/o error. Although he might not appear warm & fuzzy, it will be apparent over a few visits that he & his staff honestly care about what they are doing rather than it being a money mill. BTW the NP who was crazed over the drug tests has gone to Dr Theo ( a local pain specialist...), PLZZZ runnn & don't walk from that office for sure... but Dr Yun is thorough & in this day & age most offices have you call for your results... If you stick to business, Dr. Yun can be a love in a cold on the outside but w/ a gooey kind caring center. He has surly seen a number of drug seeking patients. Try & smile w/ the gal in the front, however, no one should EVER hear another persons med info & I have heard this many times as well.

HORRIFIED that such an inhumane person can be a Dr. Now he's on BetterDoctor.com with four stars based on credentials, experience, and network. Well, NONE of that matters when "Dr." Yun HAS ZERO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE. He blows his patients' concerns off and my loved one ended up in the Urgent Care THE SAME day "Dr." Yun had seen them, on NUMEROUS occasions. Urgent Care became our PCP. Yun just didn't care to listen to any of our concerns. His lack of basic knowledge of medications and proper treatment for even simple ailments is mind blowing and scary. I gave him 1 star on everything, except 2 for his staff, but the site keeps highlighting more stars. Yun deserves negative 1 million stars. He is that blatantly uncaring about his patients.
