Dr. Jonathon Howard Mcgarry, MD

I was seen at the new ER at Green Valley Ranch for Chest Pain, shortness of breath and dizziness. My blood pressure was very high. They gave me the smallest dose of Morphine for my pain. My potassium was low and they gave me oral potassium. My bloodwork showed I was not having a heart attack but they recommended a stay in the hospital for a cardiac work up. All the hospitals were full so they sent me to St. Rose Siena. They put me in a chair in the hall. I had two other patients, one on each side of me. When Dr. McGarry came to see me he was angry that I was transferred there because I wasn’t having a heart attack. He questioned me and asked for an explanation as to why they sent me there. I explained my scenario. When I told him they gave me Morphine he commented “ wow, lucky you”. I told him it was only 2mg. He implied that I was wasting a bed there. He said “there’s a reason you’re in the hall in a chair.”’I replied with, “because this isn’t an emergency because I’m not having a… heart attack?” He then told me they’d be wasting a bed on the floor, I would have a stress test in the morning and go home. He then wanted to know why my liver enzymes were elevated. I explained I was being worked up for that by another Dr. he was extremely rude and arrogant. The biggest issue I have is he ignored Hippa and all of my health issues were discussed in front of other patients. The two on both sides of me were staring at me as he berated me for being transferred to his ER. I could even tell you what the two patients next to me were being treated for as there was no privacy. This is not going to end here. I’m filing multiple complaints. First to his employer, to his ER manager and to the CEO of St. Rose whose reputation and mission statement is based on Human Kindness. I will never go back to Siena after that. He does also work at Henderson Hospital. If I’m ever in one of his ER’s I will request anyone but him.

Dr. Mcgarry saw my baby with 104.5* fever. My child was vomiting and now wetting his diaper. Dr. Mcgarry did nothing to help reduce his fever or hydrate him. He lectured me and sent me home 2 days ago. My child is still VERY sick.
