Dr. Jordan Levi Gallo, MD

I think this doctor should not be practicing. I went into the ER after hearing my back snap as I was in excruciating pain. He told me it was a sprain. I reiterated I heard it snap. He said again just a sprain take 600 mg ibuprofen. I told him I was highly sensitive and that 100 mg ibuprofen makes me sleepy. He retorted like a child would that it doesn't do that. So I guess essentially calling me a liar. His attitude was appalling like I was a bother. He did not take X-Rays. My back was broken. I had fractured L3. His bedside manner leaves much to be desired. I only chose one star because I had to .. there was not a no star option.

No sensitivity to patient or people.

This doctor has to have THE worst bedside manner that I have ever experienced. I could hear every word he said from my " cubicle " and he was talking about other patients as well as myself. I have always chosen Mercy hospital as my choice of hospitals, but from now on that is going to change. I was totally humiliated not only by the Doctor but one of the R.N.s felt I needed a lecture as well. I told them both, " what's done is done, lets look at now and the future" It really is too bad because my Mother went to Mercy, and I never had any problems, until this time.

I was sitting a good distance from the nurse's station and yet had to listen to Jordan's opinions on office politics, patients, (gossip as well as medical info) and a long story involving his car. All this before he graced us with his presence. However, he was too preoccupied with an intoxicated patient to focus his attention on my wife. He rushed through his exam, passed judgement, made a condescending remark or two and than scurried down the hall to laugh and make derogatory comments about the drunk guy.

Dr. Gallo does not listen and does not exhibit empathy. He was directly asked multiple times to give an important time sensitive medication to an elderly family member with multiple serious health conditions at the time it was due. He refused to do so. When pressed on this, the only reason given was, "no, it can be done when the patient returns home", which ended up making the medication 45 minutes late. This is time sensitive medication which affects the very homeostasis of my very loved family member. Hospital floor was not busy, and there was no reason to not just give the medication on time. Inexcusable behavior and frankly disturbing that this person is charged with the care of peoples' lives.
