Dr. Jordan Malie Morton

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to expressing my gratitude for Dr. Morton. When my husband was diagnosed with Stage IV gastroesophageal junction cancer that had spread to his peritoneum, we were told by several doctors across the country that there was nothing to be done except to prepare for palliative care. Even top institutions specializing in gastric cancers, like MD Anderson, offered little compassion. Worse still, even with chemotherapy, he was given a life expectancy of only 1 to 1.5 years — and six months without. Every conversation felt clinical and hopeless — until we met Dr. Morton. She was the only doctor willing to individualize his care — to adjust doses, to listen, and to treat him as a person, not just a prognosis. She understood that medicine is not only about precision and science, but also about faith, intuition, and compassion. She gave us something no one else had offered: hope. Because of her thoughtful approach, her willingness to try what others… dismissed, and her careful monitoring, my husband has experienced what can only be described as a miraculous turnaround. The cancer that had spread to his peritoneum can no longer be seen. He has gained weight (from 102 pounds to 138), can eat again, and is living life with an energy we hadn’t seen in months. Dr. Morton is not only brilliant — she is caring, humble, and deeply human. She balances evidence-based medicine with an open heart, and that made all the difference. We are forever grateful to her for giving my husband his life back, and for reminding us that even in the darkest moments, miracles can still happen when a doctor truly listens and cares. I only wish the world had more doctors like her.
