During my visit to the hospital with my daughter, we were treated by Dr. Steinberg and his team. We are extremely satisfied with his care; my daughter's surgeries were a success. Dr. Steinberg has been our daughter’s surgeon for a little over 3 years and has performed 12 extensive surgeries on her. We could not be happier with him as a provider! From the beginning, he has listened to us as parents and has always made us feel like partners in her care plan. His knowledge and surgical work are outstanding, and we’re very pleased with our daughter’s outcome. He’s patient and methodical and was able to provide long-term vision for her surgeries, even when it was difficult to see along the way. He is incredibly dedicated to his patients, extremely accessible, and has wonderful bedside manner. My daughter feels very comfortable with him, which is incredibly important to us. I’d recommend Dr. Steinberg to anyone!

Dr. Steinberg is amazing. Our son was born with a unilateral cleft lip and we called JH about a week after he was born. They scheduled us with him and our son was seen at 3 weeks old. Dr. Steinberg was very professional and he answered any and all of our questions and concerns. Our son just had his cleft lip surgery 3 weeks ago and we are amazed at the work Dr. Steinberg and his team did. He made us feel very comfortable the day of the surgery and again answered any and all questions and concerns we had. We recently had his post surgery follow up and again, the appt was great! We mentioned our sons flat head and our concerns in regards to that and without question he took us to have his head scanned and explained everything to us. He suggested we see a physical therapist for the flat head syndrome. We can’t suggest Dr. Steinberg enough! He is a great doctor and surgeon!

Dr. Steinberg is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered! From the initial phone call to office discussions to surgery to post op, he has been nothing short of an amazing professional. My 3-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, benign but damaging tumor of her jaw. We were turned away by many top doctors and institutions where Dr. Steinberg at Hopkins welcomed us in and took our case on. Our case was very rare and complex, but he put together a very strong team to explore her situation in great detail and take steps for removing the tumor and re constructing her jaw. My daughter is now 1-month post op and doing very well. He was always available to us by email, phone call, etc. I would follow Dr. Steinberg to any institution! He is amazing!

My two sons, both born with cleft lip and palate, have both been patients of Dr. Steinberg. He’s completed multiple surgeries on both of them, including nasal reconstruction, bone graft, Abbe lip flap and jaw surgery. I’ve been VERY pleased with all the work he’s done. Not only that, but Dr. Steinberg has always gone out of his way to make sure my husband and I understood each of the procedures and always asked if we had any additional questions. I always felt very comfortable asking any questions, never felt intimidated, which I sometimes do with other doctors/surgeons. When we had decisions to make about which procedure to move forward with, Dr. Steinberg made sure we understood our options so we could make the best decisions for our sons. He made it easy for us to get in touch with him personally, after each procedure, so if there was a problem or question, we could contact him. I always had peace of mind when my sons were under his care. Of all the doctors I have, or my kids have,… been patients of in my life, Dr. Steinberg is easily in my top five, if not number one. The only reason my kids are no longer under his care is because he has moved to a different hospital far away. If I don’t find a new surgeon we’re comfortable with, I will consider traveling to Maryland (where Dr. Steinberg has relocated) from Chicago for future surgeries for my sons, since my father lives in Maryland.

This was our son's 12th surgery and the first one performed by Dr. Steinberg he advised us on what to expect during and after surgery. He takes special care in his patients as if they were his own and answers all questions that you may have. I highly recommend him as a dedicated surgeon who goes above and beyond the scope of his job. Thanks to him our son's surgery was a success.
