About Jessica T. Emery, D.M.D.
Having spent her childhood in central Massachusetts, Dr. Emery graduated from Worcester Academy. During this time, her enthusiasm for dentistry began while assisting at her mother's dental practice. This interest was intensified several years later during a working trip to the rural villages of Nicaragua as part of a volunteer team. She went on to Pennsylvania to receive a B.S. degree from Susquehanna University.
Dr. Emery and her mother, Dr. J.R. Courtman, became the first mother/daughter team to receive D.M.D. degrees from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Although plans were made to join her mother's practice in Massachusetts, a weekend trip to Chicago changed Dr. Emery’s life. She fell in love with Chicago and became exuberant about plans for her private dental practice.
Before Dr. Emery opened Sugar Fix Dental Loft, she was an associate at Jordan J. Tilden, D.D.S., P.C. and Associates, located at 333 E. Ontario, Suite A, in Chicago, where she practiced under her maiden name, Jessica T. Courtman, D.M.D.
Dr. Emery is committed to continued learning through her connection with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Since her passion and focus is aesthetic dentistry, she is excited to offer additional services to fulfill the cosmetic desires of her patients. She is a certified Invisalign® (invisible orthodontics) provider, and has stepped out of the "dental box" to become certified in the administration of BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers such as Restylane®.
