Summary
Dr. Alvarez was born in Cuba. He attended dental school at Central University of the East (UCE) and Graduated in 1984. Since graduation, Dr. Alvarez has become a respected member of the ADA. He has also been certified in conscious sedation and CAD/CAM technology. Dr. Alvarez and his staff continually attend seminars and continuing education classes to keep up with the latest advances in the dental industry. This provides all of us with a higher level of knowledge to treat each patient for his/her individual needs. We’re very proud to say, we can guarantee that you are in the safest hands when you’re with Dr. Alvarez.
In his spare time, Dr. Alvarez and his wife spend a great deal of time amongst their animals. They have many beautiful horses of different breeds, which include three mini-horses. You may have seen these, semi-famous, minis in past years pulling a carriage in the Tucson Rodeo Parade. Dr. Alvarez and his wife enjoy spending their weekends on long trail rides with …family and friends. They have been known to invite their dental patients on rides from time to time.
Our Staff
We like to think of our staff as a family (even if some of them are). Joanne Alvarez, our Hygienist, is in fact Dr. Alvarez’s wife. They were married in October 2009. She attended school at El Paso Community College, and graduated in 1984. She is very thorough and genuinely cares about each and every patient.
Our two dental assistants include Amanda (aka Ninja) and Ruben (aka Sandwich). These are names you will hear often in our office. Many patients probably couldn’t even tell you their real names. Both attended Pima Medical Institute and have both received X-ray certification. Their knowledge and great personalities leave you with a sense of ease in the dental chair.
Angela and Dana make up our Front Office staff. They are the first friendly voice you hear on the phone and the first smiley face you see when you walk into our office. The knowledge of procedures and treatment they carry prepare you for your visits in advance. They are always there to answer any questions and/or concerns you may have.
