Dr. Jorge Enrique Casal, MD

Dr. Casal has been our primary care physician since 2005 when my wife and I moved to Cape Cod ad he was practicing in Hyannis, MA and later relocated his practice MGH. We were extremely impressed with the thoroughness and completeness of his examinations as well as the detailed notes he took on all of our health issues. He also possesses an extensive network of quality specialists that he can refer his patients to when the need arises. A case in point was when he was examining my wife, he noticed a small lump on her throat and .arranged an appointment with Dr. Douglas Ross, one of the top thyroid doctors in the country. Dr. Ross biopsied the lump on my wife’s thyroid that showed she had thyroid cancer and was about to spread to the rest of her body. Dr. Casal referred us to Dr. Edward Hodin who successfully removed her thyroid and she has been cancer free for 9 years, Dr. Casal is an extremely talented physician who possesses exceptional communications and interpersonal skills and… genuinely cares for the overall health of his patients. This is evidenced by the fact that over 150 his patients living on Cape Cod have continued to retain him as their primary care physician.

I chose Dr. Casal because I have a few chronic conditions that i need a doctor to help manage. All Dr. Casal has done is refer me out to every specialist imaginable. Bad enough but he sent me to specialists who didn't deal with my specific issue. His office staff are awful to deal with.

I have a very complex medical history and was concerned about managing my care accurately. I needed a PCP I could trust would both inform and reassure me. I know of MGH's great reputation and thought to look for a primary who specialized in complex chronically ill patients there... Dr. Casal is amazing. He is thorough, very smart and has a terrific bedside manner and took a long time discussing my medical history. I have never felt better taken care of by a primary.

Let's state our medical insurance when we leave reviews and see if the lower reviews match the health insurance. I would like to know if people get treated according to their insurance.

One can not find a better doctor than Dr. Casal. My wife and I have been his patients for more than a decade. He is very thorough and caring. If there is a problem, he always follows up and always returns calls or emails. Simply, he genuinely cares.

Dr. Casal was always worth the wait. He was thorough, accurate and pleasant to speak with. He is missed on Cape Cod.

Hardly replies questions. When does, provides wrong information and misleading diagnosis. Prescribe wrong medicine with no regards to records and neglets side effects. Rude, not trustworthy.

With the exception my my wait time in the examination room, Dr. Casal is fantastic.

This is a fine doctor! My husband and I have been in his care since the beginning of his practice. He is knowledgable, thorough and caring. He is now practicing at Mass General and teaches at Harvard. It is worth it to travel to Boston to continue with him as our primary physician! Excellent!!!
