Dr. Jorge Mario Contreras, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Contreras since 2019. He has gone above and beyond to get to the bottom of any health issue I’ve encountered. His staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. I highly recommend!

He always shows up late!! He takes his time with patients of his own ethnic backgrounds. Doesn’t care what you telling him and moves you out as fast as possible! He made me feel as if I was very much over exaggerating my pain level. He also made it seem as if he was doing me a favor just for seeing me. I had to wait an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment time. His ethics are very questionable and his services are a joke! I highly recommended that if you have an appointment with him do yourself a favor and find a doctor that cares!!!

I’ve been a patient for years and feel comfortable and well taken care of by Dr C. Like any GP he and his office can be a little slow with some things but overall they really care.

My wife had a heart attack and congestive heart failure. While in the hospital, my wife call his office to tell him of what was going on, and left the msg with the receptionist. She was in the hospital 7 days and he never came, and the next time she saw him he had no knowledge of being in the hospital Once discharges she went to see him about a swollen right ankle. In the room instead of looking at her foot he Said with your lung problems I am going to put you on Oxygen, and I will handle it. After he left the room his Nurse came in and said I will be handling getting you on oxygen. I was present with my wife 3 weeks later as she had not heard from his office, 5 calls were made to his office daily with no response. On the final call the receptionist was told of the Pulmonologist also trying to reach him. The receptionist said that she didn’t know why he was calling so didn’t relay the call. The next day his nurse called to see why we needed to talk to him and was… told about it being 4 weeks since he was take care of putting her on Oxygen. The next day Dr. Contreras sent an email saying that we should have seen her Pulmonologist to have him put her On Oxygen, with there being no telephone call, with no recall of telling us that he would take care of putting her on Oxygen. In my opinion, Dr. Jorge M. Contreras needs to reorganize his practice by eliminating the receptionist, have his Wife seek employment elsewhere and him retire from Medical Practice. I strongly would not recommend anyone to consider using him as their Primary Physician.

Did George today he sent me to have tests done very expensive test done through Medicaid 2 weeks ago has not gave me follow-up instructions so I went to the end today he told me point-blank that I took too long to do a certain test in that seemed unnormal in his office before he sent me to take these tests and said he couldn't see me and his staff was aware of it is very prejudiced I would not recommend him he is very fortunate I'm not replying him to Medicaid

This Doctor's office has poor service from the front desk , administration, all the way to the doctor. They recommended that my wife take a mammogram and ultrasound last year from a lump that was spotted and she was told it is nothing and that the cyst would slowly shrink and hopefully disappear. This was one year ago today and now my wife was had some tenderness in her breast again and after another ultra sound there is a lesion present. The staff asked why she did not have a biopsy last year when spotted. Her response was that the doctor said it would go away and did not offer or recommend it!!! Now that it has not disappeared and is still present and a lesion, the way she found out this information was not with a call, but an email. She called herself in the morning and after being left on hold multiple times she finally gets someone to get her an appointment to see the doctor. So a week goes by and my wife is nervous and prepared to go and speak to the doctor and they cancel the… appointment and let her know someone will call her about and MRI, and the imaging company has no recollection of an appointment or a call by the Doctor's office. We call the Doctor's office and they do not openly say they dropped the ball again(a year later) to even schedule an MRI with their 3rd party imaging company. We write an email and of course nothing gets to the Doctor and you can't even have a sit down with Jorge Contreras as his wife acts as a gatekeeper with his patients!!! We finally get an email from the doctor 9 days later(may be his wife emailing under his account) and we pour our heart out about our thoughts of his practice and lack of service and accountability, and to transfer all paper work to her OBGYN and his response is "OK" . Very sympathetic doctor. I would never trust my personal Health with him or recommend you go to him even if he is an in-network physician. POOR SERVICE and Lack of Care for patients. Some people just collect a check when they clock in and out each day. Time to try another field Doc.
