Dr. Jorge J Dorta- Duque saw my fiance in the hospital and treated him with kindness and respect. After he was transferred and released and not given his proper medication this doctor was kind enough to step up to the plate and call in his prescriptions for us so he didnt end up back in the hospital. 6 HRS on the phone and no one wanted to help us but this kind doctor. God bless you sir for helping him when no one else would. It is because of you and your caring heart that he is doing fantastic! I wish all doctors were not only as professional and knowledgeable as you but also as caring! We can't thank you enough for what you have done!

He was very easy to get along with and talk to, even though I was a difficult teenager who didn't want to talk. I found him easier to communicate with than the psychologist so he was happy to extend my appointments so we could talk. He was very understanding and happy to explain the neurophysiology of the medications so I was willing to take them. He did not overmedicate and was not quick to jump into a diagnosis like most psychiatrists are. He understands that a dx for children is only for insurance purposes and does not label children as a dx as their brain is still forming.

Dr. D is an excellent clinician who truly cares about his patients. He does not overmedicate and educates his patients so they understand their medication.
