The only good thing is that he was able to get me off of Xanax because of how highly addictive it can be. But all he does is give you prescriptions for meds and just asks you if the meds are working or not. If they are, that’s the end of the follow up appointment. If they’re not, he increases the dose and tells you to give it time. Thats it. Nothing more to it. Often has a rude behavior too

I was seeing Dr Dubin for several months to treat my anxiety disorder. The only good thing was that he was able to get me off of Xanax because he didn’t want the pills to eventually “consume” me. So instead, he prescribed me non addictive medication, but thats all he does. You just visit him and all he’s doing is supplying you meds. The visits eventually become pointless and a waste of time. Just doesn’t seem to care and is clearly an easy job for him since all he’s doing is writing prescriptions for your meds. Nothing more to it.

I have been seeing Dr. Dubin for 2 and 1/2 years. Initially I was put off by his very serious appearance and diffident manner. Also I understood that he did not do therapy, just medication management but I was disappointed that he wasn't even terrible supportive. I have come to like him, however, and find him to be very competent and knowledgeable. Also, after these many months he seem a bit more personable.

At first, I was slightly intimidated when seeing Dr. Dubin. But, I realize he simply is very focused and objective. Over the few years I have been seeing him (ADD-intattentive), he has become one of my favorite psychiatrists I have seen over the last couple decades. Dr. Dubin is extremely experienced, very informed of current information in his field in addition to knowing about so many other aspects of life. He even knew current information on dysautonomia while I was working to be diagnosed (most doctors I have encountered over the years hadn’t ever heard of the condition I have). Dr Dubin almost always has collegues/friends he may recommend across many different specialties. (Cardiac, neuro, special needs kid services, etc). He is also very kind to my children if I am unable to get a sitter. If you want a psychiatrist that REALLY knows his stuff, I highly recommend Dr. Dubin.

My first physical impression of Dr. Dubin was that he looks scary. Once in his office he starts asking questions about you and your behavior. My toddlers seem to bother him when they started talk loud. He was annoyed and comme ted that he couldnt "do this", mean talk and hear with the toddlers being loud. I didnt like how annoyed he got. He seems ro the point and takes control of the setting with his firmness. It is our first time with him and maybe this firmness is what one needs. I will give him a few more visits and update you if after those visits, if we will continue to see him. Until then i won't rate him. But will say Fair for now. "LISA"

He’s a very good Dr he has helped me a lot

very knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. does not rush you out of his office. listens to you.

I've been seeing Dr. Dubin for several years now, and when I first met him and went for my first appointment, I was so happy to find out finally what had been wrong with me. Dr. Dubin did an intensive intake initially, and each follow-up visit he targets exactly the problems that need to be addressed.He works with adults as well as children, and I have talked with other patients in the waiting room and found they feel the same as me.He is very accessible to his patients that need emergency or urgent care, which is refreshing and much needed in this profession.One thing he does not do is "talk therapy" too much, as he feels most of the disorders he treats are biochemical in basis. I can only talk for myself in this matter; he may work differently with you depending on your DX.His bedside manner is very caring, but he can be abrupt if you go off point. That is not a criticism, but rather a compliment, because he doesn't let you off the hook when you are trying to escape the problem.If… you have a severe problem that needs help, this is the psychiatrist to see. He is the best one I've ever had, and I highly recommend him to others.

At first I was very pleased with this doctor. But when usual treatment plan did not help, he diagnosed me as bipolar, which was completely off-base.Don't show any sort of defiance or disagreement towards his treatment plan, however. He has no qualms with talking down to you in order gain some sort of control over the situation. I sincerely believe that he does not care about his patients. At most, you will spend 15 minutes in his office. Most of that time he is writing notes.If you want some common ground with him, talk about history. He is a big history buff.
