Dr. Jorge Antonio Gonzalez

Always running very late and then blames it on his patients before me, stating they had too many questions. He moves around frequently without telling me. My appointment has been cancelled as late as 20 minutes after my arrival at the office at least four times. I spoke with management several times about these problems. The problems always follow him where he moves.

We had a 9:45 appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. We weren’t called into an exam room until 10:30, where the nurse entered my husband’s information into their computer. She left the room saying the doctor would be in shortly, then closed the door. We heard the doctor speaking to other people in other rooms and to the nurses. We waited. and waited. and waited. One hour had passed while waiting in the exam room, with no one checking on us, or the doctor speaking with us. We were fed up, as we had been at the doctors office almost TWO hours and still had not been seen by him. We walked out of the room to a surprised staff, including the doctor, who asked where we were going. “Tired of waiting” was our response. The doctor admitted he had seen three patients scheduled after us and had forgotten we were in the room. Forgot Us. Forgot Us..

We arrived for our 9:45 appointment 10 minutes early. At 10:30 we were escorted by the nurse to an examination room and she entered my husband’s vitals. Although we could hear the doctor occasionally through our closed door, he never came in to see us. After waiting one hour, we walked out of the room at 11:30. The nurse asked where we were going; we said we still hadn’t seen the doctor and we’re leaving. At that point the doctor came out and asked why as well. The nurse turned to him and reminded him that he had see three patients who were scheduled after we were! He admitted he had forgotten to come in our room! If he can’t remember to see his patients, do I really trust his advice or -even worse- anything surgical!

Ended up in the hospital for a week and now owing $13,000 in medical bills because he “forgot to fill a prescription” for one of my seizure medications. About to start suing him. This office sucks. My general physician got me a medication that works better in a day. Haven’t had a seizure since. It is NOT a “GREAT DAY AT THE TULSA NEURO SPECIALISTS.” You can’t even run a business or answer the phone to my attorney or I for 4 days. Thanks “Candice Griffin Candice Griffin” for hanging up on me. Glad your answering machine doesn’t work like most things in this office.

I was referred to Dr. Gonzlez by my Primary Physician. Trying to call his office, I reached a switchboard that told me they could give the office a message. This happens even during normal working hours. Also, Dr.Gonzalez gave a diagnosis with a minimal examination. Very minimal. He referred me to an Audiologist. The Audiologist says I need a second neurological opinion. If you are in need of a neurologist, I cannot recommend Dr.Gonzalez.

This man unnecessarily medicated for me for seizures.Due to a "head injury".(that never occurred).I went in for migraines,and possibly vertigo.I was put on multiple Epilepsy medications(6- I believe in 6mo time)When I complained that I felt worse on meds,than before I started them ,he all but threatened to fire me as a patient for not complying.All after telling me in front of my son(who is on the autism spectrum)that I could die if I discontinued these awful meds.As well as saying also in front of my Mother and son that I was brutally, physically and sexually abused in my childhood,and that trauma contributed to my hypersensivity to these unnecessary drugs!I insisted on a second EEG(72 hour this time)Results,no seizures.The nurse basically said,"Oops,nevermind." To this day I am permanently plagued with multiple issues brought on I believe by these awful seizure meds.I am 47 years old and was unable to drive or work for months.The worst part.This man was so condescending and mean when… I voiced my concern for myself.Then almost immediately he left the practice.No forwarding information.Just gone.Please,think twice.

I took my son to see him for his severe headaches. We waited over 2 hours to be seen and when he did come in he didn't even want to do an exam on him! He asked why are you here for headaches??? Rude! Dismissed us without even talking to him.

The wait time is long but I don't mind waiting for a doctor that will actually help with my migraines and headaches and understands that there is huge difference between the two. His PA is awesome also and I have worked with her the last 2 visits. She is also knowledgeable and helpful.

They did not return calls. I was told lies by the doctor and his staff on what the wait time would be for a procedure. I was laughed at by the front desk staff when I stressed I needed a call back. When I did finally get a call back it was full of excuses and no actual scheduling.

I went to see him and I tried explaining everything that was happening and he didn't listen to a word I said. He just claimed it was from concussion and put me on more medicine. I'm fine with taking medicine, but not when he doesn't keep me in the loop.
