Dr. Jorge A Patino, MD

Dr. Patino was born in Bogota, Colombia and studied at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He graduated from the Medical School in 1986 and worked in the San Juan de Dios Hospital. He also worked in Tocaima, Colombia at the San Rafael Hospital as a General Physician until 1989. It was then that Dr. Patino decided to come to the United States. Dr. Patino began his pediatric residency in 1992 at Cornell University New York City Hospital. He successfully completed the residency in 1995 and moved to Othello Washington to develop a pediatric care unit at the Othello Community Health Center. As the first pediatrician in this rural area, he helped thousands of families who in some cases had no other medical care. He worked extensively with the migrant worker children while in Washington.

In 1998 Dr. Patino joined a private practice in Brownsville and he and his family moved to Texas to begin their new life. Once he decided to go out on his own, Dr Patino knew he wanted to stay here in …Brownsville. He is committed to bringing quality healthcare to all children and families of Brownsville. Dr. Patino loves children and he will ensure your child receives the best treatment possible. He will make your children laugh and smile even in what seems like the worst of times. He loves to dance and is always thinking of creative ways to make the children feel comfortable.
